Frequently asked questions
How do I subscribe to a podcast?
Library → “+” → enter a search term or paste a feed address → preview → Subscribe.
Where is my progress?
Tarilo stores it on your iPhone, not in a cloud. On a new iPhone, use the OPML backup (Settings → Backup): it transfers subscriptions, not listening progress.
Why won’t an episode download?
Check your connection and whether “Wi-Fi Only” is on (Settings → Downloads). Some providers limit requests; stream instead or try again later.
New episodes don’t appear on their own.
Pull the library down to refresh. iOS decides when background refresh runs – check Low Power Mode and Background App Refresh in iOS Settings.
How do I listen to an audiobook from my own files?
Library → “+” → Audiobook … → choose files or a folder (.m4b, MP3, ZIP). DRM-protected files (e.g. from Audible) are not supported.
How do I use Tarilo in the car?
Tarilo appears in CarPlay as soon as your iPhone is connected. Open the large driving view from the player, or have it open automatically on connection (Settings → Car).
Where are the sleep timer, speed and chapters?
In the full player – tap the cover to open it.
What is “For Now”?
AI feature · on device only
An AI feature: a learning method on your iPhone suggests episodes from your own listening history that fit the time you have. It runs only on the device, nothing is transmitted, and it stays a suggestion. To switch it off and delete the history: Settings → Listening History.
What happens to my data?
Tarilo has no accounts and collects no data. Details are in the privacy policy.
How do I reset everything?
Deleting the app from your iPhone removes all local data.
